Wellesley, Barnard, Smith?

What would you say my chances are to these three? Currently, I’m a junior in high school. My school doesn’t offer Honors/AP, so I’ve been working on integrating more college classes into my schedule. Here are my stats:

  • Mostly A's (3.92GPA UW/W)
  • Math tutor for 3 years (by the time I apply)
  • Will graduate with the equivalent of 6 years of math
  • Similarly, I'm set to graduate with 6 years worth of Spanish
  • 2+ years worth of work with my school's Feminist Coalition (with a possibility of taking over as president in my senior year)
  • 160+ hours of community service
  • Will be going on a self-funded volunteer trip to Ecuador this summer
  • 1960 SAT, but taking the ACT in the next few months to get a better score in comparison.
  • Recently, I've started working with our newly founded Speech & Debate team, and have started to participate in competitions.

I’m looking to pursue a degree in mathematics, which is generally seen as a male-dominated field. Would you say I had pretty good stats? These are by far my top schools!

With a 1960 you have a slim chance to get accepted into any of these places.

Take the redesigned SAT. You will probably perform much better.

You’re a match for Smith (especially with their test optional policy), but unlikely as you currently stand for the two former. Your scores and GPA are both low for their range, and your ECs, while great, aren’t enough to make up for a lack of quantitative stats. I agree with the previous poster–definitely try the redesigned test–SO much more math emphasis (good for you, bad for me  ). If you can bump your score up substantially by the time you apply, you may have a shot.

Chance me?
