haha sorry if I wasn’t clear earlier, when i said they won’t care I meant the AP scores during the admission process.
As for the SATII, you might want to call Admissions and make sure~ But since they said Nov is the last testing date, they should be okay with it. I think they will just review other parts of your application and look at your SATII’s later when they start voting. But like I said, you should probably still call though. Good luck!

hello! you have no idea how eager I am to get out of high school hahaha, I’m so excited for college! Hopefully, we’ll all end up in Wellesley and be sisters for LIFE! lol

i’m also applying to Wellesley ED for 2015! i’m from mass (literally 20 mins from the school) and Wellesley has been on my radar since seventh -yes, seventh- grade. I’m the second woman in my family to be going to college which is something I take MUCH pride into.

My major is English and I definitely want to double major…probably economics and minor in probably two other fields. I’m going to take advantage of the pre-law program. I sent in three letter recs, one coming from a teacher that attended Wellesley and offered to write my letter which I was happy because she is an amazing, and honest teacher, something I was looking for. I won’t be disclosing neither my GPA nor scores merely because those are for me to know (sorry I really don’t want to sound rude!)

I took a course this summer at Wellesley (Intro to Women’s Studies) and I LOVED IT!

Some one mentioned before about the possibility of more ED applicants this year. Based on the number of replies from different people on CC, it actually looks like that’s the case. But it might just be that more people joined CC this year. Also, my friend applied to Wellesley through Questbridge, I don’t think it’s her #1 choice, but she was wondering how are questbridge applicants different from ED when colleges make the decision? Thanks for your help in advance.

My d applied ED about a week ago and received and e-mail yesterday acknowledging her application and providing a status on materials received to date.

@fendrock
thanks for letting us know!
so those of us who sent our application around the deadline should receive an email Monday or Tuesday!!
hopefully haha

@Natalie135
I just sent an email to mention my interest in tennis and Wellesley…but it wasn’t really necessary. I think your recruiting form will do the job and you’re probably on his radar.

@valere
I actually think Questbridge students are accepted a little earlier (I’d say about 3-5 days?) Last year my friend was accepted into Wellesley via Questbridge and received her admission letter on December 9th.

Yeahh I received the confirmation email yesterday, it gives you a pin for MyWellesley, which is basically what @fendrock mentioned.

Valere: QB applications are evaluated separately from regular ED apps and the QB application is much longer than the Common App. Since the QB College Match program is far more competitive than ED, for someone who is set on attending a particular college, it’s probably better to apply ED. If you’re interested in checking out how QB works, you can go to their website: www.questbridge.org.

Natalie135: My D wants to major in Neuroscience. Based on the limited info available to us CC’ers, I would say there seems to be a nice assortment of different majors represented in the ED pool! (That being said, my daughter’s college advisor used to be the dean of admissions at a prestigious LAC, and he says admissions reps don’t really put too much credence on applicants’ stated majors because so many students change their minds later on.)

Something I’ve heard is that last year, Wellesley’s yield rate was higher than usual. They had about 40 or so more students than they expected. Do you guys think this will impact us ED applicants significantly?

Wow, 40 more students is a lot considering the small pool of ed applicants…but I did hear that the class of 2011 is one of the smallest graduating classes!
Maybe those facts will weigh each other out.

I saw that this thread was viewed over 1,300 times! I think there are a lot of other applicants on silent watch haha.

Yeah, I just took three subject tests today.
Math 2C
US History
Lit
I’m just sending them after I receive the scores. I just need one more since I sent them my Korean subject test.

Does anyone know how competitive it is to get accepted to Wellesley ED?
I still don’t know…is it really hard?

I retook SAT I yesterday and I will decide whether to send the score to Wellesley only after the scores come out.

I don’t think it is extremely hard, but again, I am speaking as an international student and there aren’t many of students I know that put Wellesley on their top list. I had two high school alumini who ED to Wellesley and both got in. They are both talented and had incredible experience/EC. But I still don’t think it is that hard, compared to the schools that share a simiar ranking and name.
