We're just finishing up invertebrates!!!!

My school doesn’t have “AP” classes but supposedly considers all of its classes AP, because it offers AP tests in June. Which is all BS, personally, seeing how it did not prepare me at all for the AP tests.

I’m a junior and I want to take a Bio SAT II in June or October, but since my school does not go by AP standards my teacher goes at his own pace. Right now we’re on insects.

The thing is, he teaches so well that when he teaches something I remember it for a really long time (I can recite to you protein synthesis with rRNA mRNA tRNA and everything or the gametophyte-sporophyte stages in mosses or ferns) but we haven’t even got to VERTEBRATES yet.

Should I study the rest on my own and take the SAT II? Do I have a chance?

If you have enough time, why not? I am studying right now biology by myself for the test from June and it’s not that hard. My teacher doesn’t explain well at all and I’ve never understood anything from him. However, I am using Barron’s and Sparknotes for study and I took more than 700 at practice tests. If you have a good book, I think you won’t have any problem.
