Were we supposed to receive any type of account login?

Were we supposed to recieve any type of notification from NU/account login info?

I never recieved any emails…so I assumed they had all my forms, etc.

I don’t think so. I received an e-mail in February saying my application was complete though.

I never received anything like that either…

I received an e-mail from NU my saying my application was complete and that any changes would have to be mailed to NU directly. So I’m guessing they don’t have an application status check or anything of the sort…

It’s quite lame for a good university

Yea I was wondering the same thing. I thought a college as good NU would have an online app status checker , guess not. And did the email you got say that decisions would come out in mid-April ?

Sent from my HTC EVO 4G using CC App

Many others do not provide an applicant-status-check service. JHU UCLA HMC etc.

When you get the e-mail saying your decision is online it will provide a link to the decision.

Once you’re admitted, NU has what seems to be a great student website.

Many of the schools D applied to did not have on-line admissions status info, and many of those that did didn’t provide any more info than NU does with their e-mail letting you know if your ap was complete and later that a decision was ready.

In fact, we preferred NU’s methods to those schools where you had to keep endlessly checking on-line to see if your status had changed. We liked getting an actual notification when the time came!

There’s nothing wrong with not having an online app status check – when I was accepted to NU, it came in the form of an innocuous email that took me by surprise. It’s better than sitting and hitting refresh on a screen for five hours on April 1.

Not only that, but if things run true to form the decision emails will come out a few days before April 1. IIRC, last year it was March 25.

let the countdown begin…
