Wesleyan Class of 2018 ED I Thread

Well NYU Gallatin has a much smaller enrollment (1500ish), which is the reason I feel comfortable applying. You are in the environment of a larger school though and there is no campus

Im from NY and my sister goes to NYU but I dont want to go there. Its HUGE and a good majority of the people are incredibly wealthy. I personally am more into the smaller schools and I dont want to be in nyc for college having lived and gone to school here my whole life. But thats just personal preference

yeah there is no campus but the surrounding area is really cool

Yeah, as someone who grew up in a suburb, living in a city would be nice

and same with danielfelsen, i live in nyc, i generally dont wanna go to a city school

It’s the lack of campus that I am talking about though, but I really do not know. Also I like Lafayette…it’s close to my home.

I live close to the city and I love it there, I just don’t know if I would love going to school there.

at most of these schools, its fairly easy to get to the city

I want to be able to access the city without living in the city!

same here, brandeis is close to boston and its my second choice but i much rather not go there lol

lol Brandeis is also on my list, but nowhere close to Wesleyan… To be everything about Wes is just perfect and if I can just get in life will be great!

Yeah i really just only want to go to wes…

Im so scared of a waitlist/deferral. That would suck. I have dreams of seeing the screen say accepted

sissy16 have you visited? i’m visiting vassar next mon!

I think we all have a good chance, but I have already started visualizing my rejection so it’s not that hard on the actual day.

I haven’t visited Brandeis yet, but I’ve been to Vassar for a visit and a summer program and loved it… But of course it wasn’t Wes @atlava18241

wow i guess first gen counts for a lot

Well, people at Brown, Yale, Vassar, and Wesleyan won’t exactly be poor… but I do see where you’re coming from. I’ve spent a good amount of time at NYU and felt a much higher presence of the wealthy there than others I’ve toured

i hope the ppl that were deciding between wes and vassar chose vassar to apply ed haha

I just hope Wes realizes how much we want this and how much we would be willing to contribute to the school!
