<p>Of course not, if those people are quirky truly because that is how they are. I have met a lot of people who act ‘quirky’ just so they can walk around calling themselves weird and quirky and get attention. It’s an ego trip for them.</p>
<p>I agree that happens, but I guess for me quirkiness was something I had to hide in my small school, so if I would rather analyze a movie than go to a party, I am excited I will be accepted if I do so in college. But again, I agree some people are just pretentious without even realizing it.</p>

<p>I think we are taking the quirky thing too far, I mean quirky people aren’t necessarily hipsters and vice versa. There are also the people who pretend to be accepting and community oriented and then show themselves to be egomaniacs.</p>

<p>The day I went, I felt like Vassar was more competitive, but it was similar to Wes in that people were individuals and tended to love the arts.</p>
