Because the application for the film studies major comes at the end of sophomore year, does anyone know if the students pursuing this are considered undeclared majors in their freshman and sophomore years? Is two years as an undeclared major common at Wesleyan? Or, do most people who want to go into film studies choose a different major and then switch if they get into the program? Thanks.
The second semester sophomore year timeline seems pretty uniform across most disciplines. IIRC, the only exceptions might be the College of Social Studies (CSS) or the College of Letters (COL.) Until then, people don’t generally refer to themselves as “Undeclared majors.” It might be a film thing.
Thank you so much!
