My D24, NE area was admitted this year thru ED1. Stats were 3.9 UW 9APs 4.45W,
3 sport varsity (2 captain), 300 hours community service, NHS, founder and president of a school club, great teacher recs. Best of luck to all!!

Hi all! Are there any other ideas of when the decision is coming out for ED2? Maybe Feb 10 or 17?

All guessing, but people seem to agree that 10 Feb is more likely unless they somehow have an overload of ED2 applicants. At any rate, they will announce the exact date and time a few days before the official date.

They post a countdown on their instagram story, usually during the week leading up to the release date. A friend whose kid was in the ED1 pool noted that the countdown was to midnight ET of release day, but that was not the actual time of release. I donā€™t know that they actually announce a time of release in advance; I believe it was 3 pm for ED1.

Thanks! I wonder if there is as much build to ED2 considering I am assuming fewer people apply? ā€¦I guess we shall soon find out!

D24 applied EDII to Wesleyan. In her portal, it says that her mid-year report is due by February 15. Her mid-year grades just came out this week and her guidance counselor says she will send them to Wesleyan by Feb. 15ā€¦ but I"m wondering how this will be helpful if weā€™re expecting EDII decisions on February 10. Is anyone else in this situation now, or has been in the past?

I had the same concern! I went to some administrators who handle transcripts at my school and explained the situation. They agreed to send it directly just for Wes, but not my other schools yet. From what I could understand, counselors donā€™t want to send it out for everyone now, but if you explain a particular case like this, I think they would help.

I donā€™t think they use mid-year grades in their decision making process. My daughter, who applied ED1 and was accepted, is also required to submit her grades by Feb 15.

Actually, since I wrote this, they were sent in.

I noticed Tufts moved up their ED2 date! But seems like Wes will still be likely next Sat maybeā€¦

I keep waiting for Wesleyan to post on Instagram when they will release ED II. If they are going to release this Saturday Feb. 10, it should be soon, right?

I called admissions to ask and they said it would be this Saturday and that the student would receive an email saying that there was an update in their portal.

Though it is odd that there hasnā€™t been anything posted on social media? Or maybe that isnā€™t really a thing for ED2.

If admissions told you Saturday, I would trust that itā€™s Saturday. It also aligns with past years. They must treat ed2 differently on social.
