Wesleyan University RD Class Of 2017!

Since there wasn’t one, I thought I should make one :)

I applied RD!

I also applied; Wesleyan happens to be one of my top choices. Anyone have an interview?

Unfortunately, no. I added it so late to my list because my test scores got competitive last minute. I wish I had though.

I had an interview way back in June.

Did anybody visit the campus?
From another thread on Wesleyan, it doesn’t sound like Wesleyan campus is none too pleasing to the eye!
Any comments?

You can look up pictures. It looks absolutely beautiful to me.

Thirdplanet, same thing almost happened to me. I wasn’t really sure about Wesleyan, but I decides to schedule an alumni interview just in case. My interviewer convinces me to apply - I could just tell that she loved Wesleyan.

I haven’t visited campus because I didn’t discover Wesleyan until it was too late. I plan on visiting if I get accepted though.

I’m a recent convert to the Google maps “street view” app as a tour guide. Here’s the URL for Wesleyan:
[wesleyan university - Google Maps](<a href=“Google Maps”>Google Maps)

Here’s the URL for Amherst. If there’s a huge difference in aesthetic between the two, I have yet to see it:
[amherst college - Google Maps](<a href=“Google Maps”>Google Maps)

That’s a great idea! I have been doing this all day, for all the colleges to which I applied. Really gives you a look at the campus, which is great if you haven’t visited or would like to look around a little more.

applied 10char

I applied RD as my reach. Didn’t interview, didn’t show interest. I doubt that I would get in, and I would only go if they gave me great aid. My top choice school is one of my safeties, Wooster.

One of the colleges I applied to! Here’s to hoping I get in!

Wesleyan is my top choice! I had an interview in December, and the interviewer seemed nice and was nonchalant about Wesleyan, although I could tell he loved it, especially since he gushed about how his daughter is currently a sophomore there. The interview lasted for a little over a hour and he came out to the car to meet my mother afterwards…

I visited Wesleyan with my daughter last September after dropping off my son at Brown for his freshman orientation. I was whelmed by the contrast between Brown’s campus which was a little bit too cramped and Wesleyan’s which was nicely spread out. Brown is an excellent school and an excellent choice for my son but I think quality of life might be a bit higher at Wesleyan. I was also whelmed by the Wesleyan students there who seemed more normal, less nerdy, and more hale and hearty.
