My major (as of my current mindset) is international studies along with asian civ and languages. Im very interested in international law and bussiness. In fact, Im living in central america right now, trying to perfect my spanish. Im wondering how true w. fairchild (irsc or whatever it is also called) stays to its international studies theme. I really want to be around people that I can learn mandarin with and practice my spanish. Thanks

I lived there. The language aspect is somewhat overplayed in terms of formal events. There will, however, always be many people who can speak/are learning Chinese, and many who speak spanish. So you can definitely practice in the dorm. It is a very nice, quiet place to live, and most people have the common interest in the world or international affairs/ law.

It’s a nice, tight nit community, and if you’re ok with a quiet, studious dorm, with those interests, I highly recommend it.

I think that dorm makes sense for convenience, locationwise, for your interests

Thank you guys a ton. I would like a quiet dorm so it works out great.

This is a resedential house right? Does that mean I need to fill out an essay? If so, how do I do that? Sorry if thats a stupid question, but I dont have time to browse the web in central america

Yes, it’s a Residential College, you need to fill out an essay. On the application there should be a box for it, I believe. Write an essay explaining why you want to live in ISRC. You will have something close to a 95% chance of ending up in there.

Ok thank you so much for your help
