Hello everyone! I need your help. I have recently been offered to got to WLU with a scholarship. I have been researching it thoroughly and academics are fine and stuff, but I haven’t found a single thing regarding the University’s stance on LGBT issues or even a GSA club. I am aware that it’s basically in the middle of nowhere and that family and friends make the whole WLU experience a worthy one. Because of that, I think that its LGBT scene should matter to me if I plan on living there for the next 4 years. Do you know anything about this school? Thanks in advance.
I can honestly say that’s the first time I’ve ever heard of this school and I know a lot of colleges. According to this [list of registered student organizations](http://www.westliberty.edu/student-life/services/clubs-organizations/list/) there is a club called P.R.I.D.E. From the description:
I guess my concern would be that WLU is a tiny school (only 2,530 undergrads) in the middle of rural West Virginia. Even if the campus is tolerant towards LGBT students, the dating pool is likely to be tiny if that’s important to you at all.
Yeah, I guess it is going to be tiny. I am not that concerned about the dating pool, I just want a friendly space where I can be myself. Sadly, I saw that P.R.I.D.E. is not really a thing on campus, I have contacted some students and I will see what they have to say about the campus environment. Thank you whenhen!
