West Point cadet charged with breaking into another cadet's room

A U.S. Military Academy cadet faces possible dismissal after being charged in a break-in at another cadet’s room.</p>

<p>The charges were filed Nov. 30, 2006, against Cadet Daniel Stratton, a member of the Class of 2008. West Point spokesman Joe Tombrello blamed an administrative error for the two-month delay in the release of information about the alleged incident…

<p>Thankfully this “scandal” doesn’t involve sex but there is some alleged drugs abuse. :(</p>

…If Stratton is found guilty, he faces a maximum punishment of dismissal from the Army, total forfeiture of his pay and allowances, and 21 years of confinement.

<p>IMO, this punishment seems too harsh. A good ol’ fashioned blanket party would probably do the trick. :D</p>
