<p>I’m auditioning for West Side Story, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for an appropriate audition song? I’m going for Maria/Anita or any other female role for that matter and it has to be 16 bars. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! =)</p>
<p>If you are going for Maria, choose a ballad that will show off how high your range is. In the original key, it is a role that requires a strong legit soprano voice. For Anita, a ballad in a more mezzo kind of range would probably work.</p>
<p>And something written between 1940 and 1965 preferrably.</p>
