so the kid i wanna room with is a transfer in sophomore

i am an entering freshmen

i have currently been assigned trojan hall with some random guy who isn’t replying to my messages

would it be sensible for me to room with the soph kid at the westar housing complex?

would it interfere with me getting to know people?

according to the map it seems pretty close to campus? amirite?

just looking for your opinions on my situation

bump for quick responses

Most important factor in your decision is if you think you will get along with your potential roommate.

I personally think you should live on campus first year. It definitely helps you meet people without trying and I personally think it’s part of the experience. Plus, safer and closer to all your classes.

Yeah, I agree with tumblweed32. You don’t need to be best friends with your roommate, you just need to get along. I’d say living on campus in the dorms is the best way to meet people.

Yeah, I would stick it through, there are a couple thousand other freshmen you can be friends with.

I’m not positive, but I don’t think you’ll be allowed to get out of your dorm housing.

Besides, the first month on campus is really amazing. A lot of social stuff, meeting new friends and then friends of your new friends. And closer to classes and food is great.

live on campus!! if you end up hating your roommate, you could always request a transfer to a different dorm.
