I am currently wanting to major in meteorology/atmospheric science. I have done a lot of research on a lot of different programs at different colleges. I’ve read a lot of good things about Florida State, Penn State, Illinois, etc.

I live near Nashville, TN and unfortunately, none of these are near Nashville.

I am looking at Western Kentucky University, but I have not been able to find many reviews or anything about the meteorology program. This is also the only college (that I am interested in out of 4) where I qualify for in-state tuition.

Does anyone know if they have a good program? I have asked one person who goes there that I found on a weather forum and he said it was very good, still a relatively new program (2007 I think), and class sizes are pretty small.

Thank you!
