Western New England College vs Nichols College

If I get accepted by these two, which one should I attend that will give me better programs?

I am planning to major in economics or business or whatever you want to call it.

=/ I have feeling I will get rejected by all 6 of my colleges. Waiting for an answer for Northeastern. Probably a rejection.

I am doing an appeal at Wellesley right now. I don’t think I’ll be able to get in anyway but it’s worth a shot right?

I read a thread that says it’s better to attend an average college and be great at the college instead of a well-known college than be not the top 10 or something like that.

XD So in your opinion, should I just stay at one of the two colleges, and not transfer? Or should I transfer to get better knowledge of my majors?

Ha ha, money is not an issue.

Thanks! xD Sorry for such a long boring thread. Have a nice day!

Anyone? Please I need your opinion.

Hi Punkiie!

I honestly don’t know what to say about deciding between those two. But, from what I hear, most schools have good econ/business majors!

Good luck at Northeastern and with your appeal to Wellesley!!!

Hey Mardou fox!

Same here. They do not seem to have enough programs so I might think about transfer.

=] Thanks Mardou Fox! [hugs]

You have listed Wellesley (the #4 liberal arts college in the country), Northeastern (a good private but not top flight), and then jumped to some privates which are not particularly known for their strong academics. There are a lot of good schools that are ranked between Northeastern and WNEC/Nichols. I am wondering about that gap and why you did not look at any of the schools in that middle range. For example, why not Suffolk in Boston?

You have also not listed any public schools and there are some good ones in Massachusetts. It is not true that any private college is better than a public school. For example, UMass Amherst is on a par with Northeastern. UMass Dartmouth is a small school that is at least as good (and probably better) than WNEC or Nichols.

Just a tip–
If you are not accepted at Wellesley or Northeastern and you do attend WNEC or Nichols, remember that you can also transfer at the end of your first year. If you have a good strong performance, that could make you admissible to a school with a better reputation (and don’t overlook the publics).

Well, I decided attend the 6 colleges that I wanted. I didn’t bother applying more than 6. That’s why I just stick with the 6 colleges that I like to attend.

Now it’s April, and I’m applying to two colleges that I checked from the Peterson web site that are rolling admissions in MA. I did kind of overlook at the publics because I did not like their teaching style. I just went with the private colleges that I like to attend. I should not have done that. That was one number 1 mistake.

Thank you for the tip, admisscouns. I think of applying out of state colleges with rolling admissions at the moment because of a problem I can’t deal with.
