Probably going to have to start at a CC because of my highschool gpa. I’m thinking of doing applied math, CS, CE, or economics. Most interested in Math with minor in one or two of the others. Assuming I can do GREAT in CC, what would be the best schools to try and get into for undergrad?
So far I’ve got these on my radar…

Utah
UNReno, it’s in state
Colorado Boulder
Washington is the best from what I gather, along with the California schools

Also, my brother went from Idaho State to Oklahoma, and then did his fellowship for PS at Harvard. He said it doesn’t matter where you start, but it’s the last school you were at that employers look at. I can’t help but think that being at a good undergrad school would help me get into a better graduate program for the Masters degree I would like to get. Is it more important to wow your’ professor’s and use referals to get in a great grad school, or is the prestige of previous school imporant?
