<p>This year there were ~120 internal transfers/dual-degree transfers with Wharton for the class of 2016 which represents ~20% increase in class size. This means that it is definitely possible to “backdoor” in if you’re not confident about getting in directly (and I would argue that it is easier in some ways to get in as an internal transfer). A lot of the dual degrees were with Economics/Economics, others with Comp Sci and and even Hispanic studies. etc. so there is a lot of diversity in areas of study. There’s always confusion regarding how common transfers are so I just wanted to provide a somewhat official number.</p>
