Wharton SAT Subject Test Conundrum

Assuming everything else is constant, will the difference between a 720 and a 800 on the SAT II Chem test be the cause of a deferral or a rejection?

This is presuming that the other variables are good (2300 SAT, 4.5GPA) and that the intended major is Business (800 SAT II Math Level 2).

Thanks a lot!

Don’t stress a 720 is still great. let’s just say that when I applied I had all great stats except for 1 SAT II score which was absolutely TERRIBLE! Literarally bad - 610…albeit this was 7 years ago.

Thanks a lot. That is the worst case scenario. I still think I can get 800, but in the worst case I could get 720, so I’m deciding whether to retake in November, in time for early applications.

pretty much anything above a 700 on anything isnt worth retaking…it’s all about the sum of the application…no one minor thing (like a 720…which i reiterate is still above average) is going to keep you out. people on here, especially, overstate the importance of certain pieces of the application.
