What A Harvard Guy Thinks About Yale!!!

“This guy has some serious issues”. Definitely. I just simply do not believe someone like that attends Harvard. Whatever I may think of the institution, THIS is simply impossible, or else we wouldn’t be comparing Harvard to Yale here  Don’t you fellow Yalies think it is all a big joke?

;) I must say, that clown clearly needs an enema. ;)

Haha, I don’t think anyone at Yale should care about what some dummy at Harvard thinks. We know Yale is the better institution and Yalies are much more fun. :p

Just kidding, of course. However, I do think this character’s arguments are laughably weak - even incorrect.

Wait- so the Harvard guy is calling Yalies nerds?

Oh, okay.

I thought that was pretty humorous too. ;)

haha…
have any of you guys heard about the newest faculty member on the Harvard campus . . .
lol, they apparently hired a Fun Czar.
Kind of unfortunate that the Harvard people had to hire a guy to teach them how to have fun.
Kind of ironic that they should then call him a Czar…
Czars were never fun…

Ok, guys, some things I would like to note:

This is not a joke.

It sounds unbelievable, but, YES, he is at Harvard – sophomore.

I share most of your opinions…fids you are right - the only advantage of Harvard to Yale is Camebridge, but, hey, NY is half an hour away.

After I read the letter I got really worried about my friend. I thought: “Two years at Harvard and you can come up only with these weak arguments! This tells me a lot about the quality of the educational experience there.” Besides this place has changed him. Before he never used threats to persuade somebody. He was smart and funny, but now when he comes back during the summer I wonder were his wonderful sense of humor has gone. I don’t want to say that Harvard is responsible for all negative changes I have noticed in him, but I believe that it has played a big role.

He continues to push and insist on Harvard, but with every email and phone call from him, I get more and more certain that Yale is the right place for me…

although there are still princeton, penn, and columbia…

Hey, Yale–or even Harvard, Princeton, etc.–needs no defense. Just a point of information, though: New Haven is about 2 hours from Manhattan.

(random q, ivyqueen - do you do MUN or parli?)

ivyqueen - 2 hours by car, but about 45 minutes by train, which is a very popular option.

“Academically, this is the best place. F*** off Yale!!! Yale is snobbish and the atmosphere is pretentious. Just for info over 85% of the people who got into both Harvard and Yale, chose Harvard.”

Looks like humility isn’t Harvard’s strong point either.

“We have great politic groups and great speakers come all the time – something that is very ill-developed at Yale. Time ago the debates about US president were here. This only shows how well-respected Harvard is.”

As Danishkid said earlier, look where the Presidents are coming from.

“If you go to that blue swamp…”

err…

And my favorite:
“The last thing is that I will be here to answer all of your questions.”

Well golly gee, who could turn down THAT offer?

“I don’t know much about Yale…”

No kidding.

“Well golly gee, who could turn down THAT offer?” LOL:)

If I wanted to attend Harvard, I think the reason why would only be the unique drama clubs (that Hasty Pudding club thing)… Luckily, I’m going to Cornell :)

Well, I’m stumped…

I love the train, but the fastest service I can find is on Amtrak’s Acela Express, which runs twice a day, takes 84 minutes, and costs a hefty $54 each way. Regular Amtrak trains, at $35 OW, take from 95 to 99 minutes; and the much more frequent Metro-North trains, at $18.50 during peak hours and $14 off-peak, take from 96 to 143 minutes. I’m still looking for the Hogwarts Express. ;)

 'Tis Greek to me.

Yuck. Harvard.

I’m going to Brown, but between Yale and Harvard, Yale kicks ass.

"Luckily, I’m going to Cornell "

very lucky indeed.
