just wondering what people in relationships were planning on doing once they go to college. I think it really is a pretty big deal.

I don’t have a girlfriend right now, but most of people I know who are in relationships have reached a plan to break up towards the end of the summer… Very sad. I know some of them are really relying on each other, you know.

2 options:

1) Ask her to marry you.

2) Dump her

Or dump her after she says no to your marriage proposal. Long distance relationships usually never work out.

Well, I was in a 3 year long relationship, and I planned on breaking up for college and seeing what happened afterwards…but we ended it earlier in the year…we were going to continue to see each other, but not be dating or committed. Staying together is a bad idea, no matter how much you trust each other, you guys don’t know what college will bring and don’t want to hurt each other or, if neither of you cheats, miss out on potential opportunities that might be better than the person you are currently with.

For college, I think it is really important to come in fresh. Relationships can be a great thing, but when you are coming into college, I think it is good to come in without baggage. Not to diss long-distance relationships, but they hardly ever work out. The constant worry of what your girlfriend/boyrfiend is doing and the hassle of having to call eachother all the time can be a bit much. However, it is also wrong to be with someone before college and break it off suddenly and unceremoniously, especially if you are carrying on as if you wanted the relationship to continue. If you are lucky, you can find a fruitful high school relationship, but they hardly ever remain intact after HS is over. Everybody had different dating circumstances so you have to go with what you feel is best.

I will be singleeeeeeee.

im so confused… i still havent made up my mind about what i am gonna do with my relationship. My boyfriend is a sophomore at Penn… and he WANTS to stay together and I am leaving for college in june. I dont know, maybe it will work or “stay together” …im actually fighting about it with him now…lol. its cool though. besides i heard that the guys at cornell were all that…juss playin I know a boy who is gorgeous going …Im so torn

holla for singleness

long distance is veryy hard. im currrently in one now, and trust me, it’s NO fun.

so break up… it’s all good
lol… i’m jk

out of about a dozen or more high school couples, I know of only one that is still alive 4 years later and it’s pretty strained. you’re going to be on the phone at 11 pm friday night instead of partying and meeting new people.

well i will be in a super long distance one. we decided that at least out of respect for what the relationship has been, it deserves a try, and it is too sad to put a concrete deadline on a relationship anyway (i.e. the end of summer). i don’t think any generalizations can really be made, and im pretty hopeful.

Put your relationship on a hiatus and if you find that you just cannot live without eachother, try to rekindle. Just keep in mind, that college is a time for discovery and you don’t want to have baggage. I’m lacking in the romance department, so I cannot give you the top notch, Dr. Phil advice, but I think this is a good thing to do.

im comin in fall 2005. how are the girls in general…

(not meant to be shallow, but i gotta know)

look at the class of 2009 site pictures…just remember most ppl look better on the internet haha ;)

That is so true…so very true

You know, we could give links to our picks. Ya know, put a screen name to a face…

Like I said, come into college fresh. Just let it go. I think being single for a while may be kinda fun… no baggage, no worries and you can swim through the college waters. Chances are, if you do the whole long distance thing, it could maybe hurt the relationship.

we had one of those threads, it got deleted. Everyone’s pics are on the class of 09 website…

Well, I would be of the last name Wala on the site.
