I took the ACT last month and recieved a 33 - my dream score. UVA is by far my #1 school but OOS admissions are similar to that of Ivies.

What score do you believe is good enough for Ivies. I mean, at my school, only me and 4 other kids have a 33 and that is the highest score. Is a 33 a good enough score that when I apply it will not hurt me?

Let’s put it this way: I know someone who got a 31 ACT score and they were accepted at Columbia. They had a top GPA and decile, class co-Valedictorian, had a couple of EC’s they were passionate about and logged good hours/weeks at both, and wrote really great essays. No hooks, whatsoever.

Assuming that is true, for an unhooked applicant applying to the Ivies, a score of 34 is a “good” (@ 75 percentile or higher) score; however, a score of 33 is fine as well. But, as you know, the higher the better.
