First ACT:
C:28
E:26
M:24
R:32
S:33
For my second ACT, I just reviewed English and Math. My scores almost flipped.
C:28
E:33
M:28
R:28
S:24
On applications that don’t use super score (mines a 32), is there a place to potentially explain that you’ve taken another test with flipped scores. I don’t want them to think I suck at English and Math if I send in the first one with the higher composite. Thanks!
I would strongly suggest taking the test again in September reviewing all four categories, not just two this time. If you can crack into the 30’s, scholarships will start to come.
As for the question asked, what career are you interested in? If you want to become an engineer, for example, you might want to pick the one with the higher math score. Also, which schools are you applying to?
There are many colleges that consider the math and English sections to be the more important ones. In fact, there a small number, such as Gtech and Rose Hulman that consider only the math and English scores (and in Gtechs case the combined English/writing score) and ignore compomsite, reading and science. Thus, if you intend to send only one, the second one woujld likely be the choice; however, you could just send both unless cost of doing so is issue, because colleges which do not superscore ACT do use that test they believe is the higher and thus the college will choose the one it believes is better for you.
