I’m planning to transfer to UCSB in economics and accounting major. After transferring, how many classes do you have to take left? And what classes are they?

Thanks!

There’s no way we can tell you how many class you have to take, since we don’t know how many equivalent econ classes you’ve at your cc.

This is the major sheet. And use assist.org to figure out your transferrable classes. Then, you’ll know how many classes you need to take to graduate.

You’re only going to be able to transfer as a pre-major. The one class your CC ISN’T going to have is ECON 10A… it’s pretty much the weeder class to discourage people from doing the major. If that is the only class you need to get into the major you will need to get about a B or B+ (not sure which one, it’s a 2.85 gpa, you should call the school and ask to find out which one it is). From my experience, 10A is NOT an easy class. If I would have needed a B or a B+ in the class I certainly wouldn’t be in the major today. My advice to you is to wait to take other pre-major classes here that way that 2.85 GPA doesn’t depend solely on one class.

And how many classes you have left to take depend on how many units you transferred in with.

Hi, curlygio
Did you mean if i take another pre-major class at UCSB, the final decision if i could get into full-major would not only depend on the ECON 10A class final grade?
Actually i’m a transfer student and i’ve already taken another pre-major class and got a A+, and now i took 10A and realllllly worried about the final grade. if i got a B- or C, would you think i could get into the ECON major? (i know that they only calculate the GPA of pre-major classes that take at UCSB)
