<p>Honestly I don’t know what to think of my SSAT score that I have just receive. I have been told by my consultant that getting a score of a total 1923 is not what the schools look at and it’s the percentile they look at and my percentile basically determine the percentage I got for my SSAT test which is 24. She therefore suggest that I retake the test because with this 24% I may not be able to get a scholarship and even if I do then the scholarship won’t be alot and that I should inform the schools I have applied for about the retake. Also I have been told by my mom’s friend and my tutor that the score 1923 is an ok score. I am so confused and worried i don’t know what to do or what to decide.</p>

<p>The thing is that I got a total ssat score of 1923 and a total percentile of 24. My consultant said I did really bad cause I got a percentile of 24% and the basically determines how well I did because the schools look at the percentile and not the score.</p>
<p>I am not familiar with ssat. If you received that score on the PSAT I think the percentile would be much higher.</p>
<p>24th percentile means 76 percent of people did better than you. Yes, the schools will not use the scaled score but the percentile. You did poorly, but don’t be discouraged, it is only one test.</p>
<p>Ok I did not realize you were reporting a scaled score of 1923. Yes that percentile is low but it’s only one test.</p>
<p>Does that mean I should retake the test? What if I did as bad or even worse? And is there anyway to improve without doing extra classes cause I seriously don’t have anytime for that. Even previously I was self studying and practising from a text book.</p>
