I’m doing both Emory and Goizueta Scholars so I have to turn the app by November 1st anyways, which is the ED deadline. I’ve heard that ED is 60%, how hard is it for Regular Decision? I really want to go, but if I get lucky with Duke University or get a full scholarship from somewhere else, I can’t do that if I did Early Decision with Emory! I can try to implicitly say in the “Why Emory” Short answer that I really want to go but can’t do early decision (though that would be kind of hard), but what will they think, especially if I’m doing Goizueta and Emory scholars?

It’s fine if you dont do ED even though you did Emory Scholars. they say on there that you should not apply ED if you attendance is contingent on receiving the scholar. Also, you may not have realized that you wanted to go until later. Also it will give you more time to visit, call, show interest show they will think you really want to go, even if you dont.
Also ED is actually like 30%. Check collegeboard.com Also the RD is a bit harder but there are also more applicants. Remember too, usually the ED applicants are MOST qualified to get in and during RD, there will be more ppl with lower stats and fewer EC’s

Will you chance me too, I decided not to apply ED to Emory for that reason and some others
