What are good ECS?

I am a sophomore in high school and going to be a junior so, in September, college is not that far away.
I have some good ECS (listed below) but none really develop my passion for science and music that I would love to show colleges I have.

Piano - I played in my freshman year but I recently stopped playing and I was really going to use my summer to get back into piano and maybe sign up for NYSSMA or post videos on Youtube to showcase my interest in piano.
Music Appreciation Club - 1 Year

Debate Team - 1 Year and I will be rejoining in September. My partner and I came in 2nd in the NYC HS championships and I have 5th speaker overall for Novice Public Forum Debate. I was thinking of bringing up the idea to my coach if we could implement a possible travel team to go to national debates such as those at Harvard, Princeton, etc. I was also thinking of applying for debate internships.

NYLF MED - A leadership program based upon medicine that I attended during the summer of Freshmen year.

Volunteering - Right now I am volunteering every day during the summer at my local library, helping children with arts and crafts etc. Then, next year I was planning on volunteering at my local hospital or volunteering as a debate judge.

Science - I really don’t have anything that really showcases my love for sciences, but I’ve thought about working with my teacher to organize competing in the chemistry bowl and the physics bowl but other than that I’m really slacking in this category.

Key Club - Junior Year
Newspaper - Junior Year

So, my real question is: Are these good ECS and what do you guys think I could improve on or possibly develop more?

Read the pinned post in the Chances forum called “Those ECs are weak…so what are some good ECs?”

You can’t change what you have done. All you can do is expand your activities to include more of your interests, or do new things that incorporate those interests. Think outside the box, and read through the thread I mentioned.

I would not send a video of you piano playing unless it is of an extremely high (conservatory level) quality. Other than that I’d say ECs are supposed to be things you are interested in, are passionate about – so you need to seek those things out.
