What are good ideas for extracurriculars for pre-engineers?

I really want to get into the College of Engineering, specifically for an environmental engineering degree. Any ideas for good extracurriculars that I should do to help my admission chances?

Whatever you’re interested in and passionate about. They don’t just apply students who were in physics club or some robotics team, they just want to see that you did something outside of class that you were dedicated to. For instance, I am in the college of engineering right now, but when I applied out of high school I barely had any “applicable” extracurriculars because I ran cross country and track all four years, so I could never make any club meetings. I’m sure this did not hurt my admission chances. On the contrary, I’d expect they were glad to see that I took part in something that I was clearly very excited about.

Bottom line is that the best way to earn points through extracurriculars is to do things that interest you the most because that’s where you’ll succeed and really stand out from other applicants.
