What are good matches for me?

I am hoping to major in English and minor in creative writing, but I’m also interested in taking classes in philosophy and psychology. When I graduate, I hope to work as an editor’s assistant in a YA publishing
company and work my way up to editor. Since these companies are usually based in NYC I was looking into NYU. I’m not sure though if this college is too far of a reach for me. I’m not sure exactly what my GPA is, but I’m guessing around a 3.6. I took AP world history my sophomore year and received a 3. I am currently taking AP USH and AP language and composition. I am doing fairly well considering I have been dealing with health issues this year and have missed a lot of school. I intend to take three AP classes and one DE class next year along with other challenging classes. This spring I am signed up to take both my SAT and ACT (with writing). Unfortunately, I tend to get anxiety when taking timed tests though and I’m not sure how well I will preform. Sophomore year I went to FCCLA states and won second place and then went on to receiving silver at nationals as well in the chapter service project genre. Through FCCLA I have participated in many community service projects. Also, I will be published in my schools literary magazine this year, as well as being on the team that makes it possible. In addition, I compete in the battle of the books. This summer I am going to be working in Nicaragua for a week, building houses and helping out in other ways as well. I am hoping to attend states and nationals for FCCLA this year as well. Please let me know what my chances are at NYU and also any other schools that would be good matches for me. Thank you!

Emerson College has a major called Writing, Literature & Publishing so basically it encompasses everything. They also have connections with Random House, Penguin and HarperCollins. They also have Philosophy and Psychology minors.

Thank you! That is very helpful :)
