The method behind the madness is speed reading comprehension. Read a couple of fun novels at a quick pace to bring yourself up to speed.
When in doubt sound it out. Huge tip. Speak (whisper to yourself) the phrase, if it sounds wrong it probably is.
Never pick a semicolon option. 99% of them are wrong.
