What are my chaces? (Transfer student)

First post :)

Well everyone, my name is Bo and I’m 18 years old. I screwed up a lot in school, like, an incredible amount. I withdrew from HS in 9th grade when I was 16 (on good terms), and began attending a local CC and got my GED within 1 month. At that same CC, I started out doing fine, but got to hanging around with the wrong crowd, and allowed my life to revolve around a pool table, and going back and forth to different pool halls. My GPA from that school is absolutely horrid, simply unimaginable.

However, I have since straightened up my way of living, I’ve transferred into a different college (still a CC)… gotten away from my old crowd, and have been focusing on nothing but my studies. I’ve so far kept a 4.0gpa, I’ve been volunteering at a local nursing home on the weekdays, and a soup kitchen on the weekends. What would be my chances (if any at all exist) at getting into a more established in-state school? The ones I would love to say that I had a chane to get into are of course UNC or Duke. But NCSU is also on my list. What are your thoughts?

All of your help is greatly appreciated,
Sincerely,
Bo.

Awh man, I would have a typo on the thread title  lol

well all of your grades count, you dont get to use just your 4.0, so if you have above a 3.0 and can turn your negative time into a postive essay, i htink you can do it.

I sure hope so. My safety school is UNCC, my dream school is NCSU lol. Not that big of a deal as far as schools go, but I’ve always loved the campus, the atmosphere, and Raleigh in general.

Very low chance of transferring into Duke.

Let me update my list-

In-State:

NCSU
UNCC
ECU

Out of State:

NYU
Texas A&M
AU

Bump. Anybody else?
