<p>Why do you have very little chance at these schools? Your GPA and SATs are in the lower 10-15% range. Apply if you want, but there isnt a sure in here.</p>
<p>Does every kid on this site really go to a very competitive high school or do they just not know what very competitive is? A very competitive highschool has an average SAT of at least 1350 (old).</p>
<p>I beg to differ. My schools average is in the 1200s. We’re probably the top public school if not top 5 in the state. We have FIFTEEN people tied for valedictorian with 5.0s.</p>
<p>Then you go to a competitive high school, but not a very competitive one. There are many American high schools with much higher scores. Also, at very competitive high schools, few if any kids have perfect GPAs. At Exeter, a very competitive high school, 2 kids have had perfect GPAs in the last 50 years.</p>
<p>While my school isnt number one in the state, i think its number one in its region. I think the average SAT score is in the 1200’s. I didnt think my SAT scores would be that much of a problem at schools like dickinson, which doesnt require SAT scores, or Kenyon, which referes to them as “secondary” in the admissions process. The other schools i have listed dont realy go “by the numbers” in the admissions process (i think). So how would my chances look if the SAT wasnt a huge problem?</p>
