Last year 1436 men and 1918 women fulltime new freshmen enrolled at USF Tampa for total of 3354. 3354(.025)=84 students with GPAs less than 3.00. Not too many.

David, USF allows you to carry a pocket knife and mace. Anything else is prohibited.

Read this for weapon use on campus.

And i honestly have no idea how my friend got in with a 2.95, but she is a transfer AND applied for Summer. So, you never know. Maybe she has a bad semester and her grades fell but before that she has A’s and B’s. Transfers only need a 2.98 and above to transfer mind you.

And all counselor from school(s) (at least all the ones that i have talked to) says that visiting the campus shows that you want to go there and are not just applying their school as a safety. Everything counts, they keep records of everything.

Thanks, itsxlizzyxxox.

Just got back, the school is really beautiful in my eyes. JP, beta, and another dorm i don’t remember looks awesome, the food it meh, and the student life is great, and the gym seems like it has over 200 students in it at anytime. XD

and in case you don’t feel like reading it.

“In addition to firearms, the USF System also prohibits the possession of all other weapons on USF System property, other than common pocket knives, legitimate tools appropriately used in authorized work on campus, and other limited exceptions defined in this policy.”

“4. Individuals may carry a self-defense chemical spray, which is a device carried solely for the purposes of lawful self-defense that is compact in size, designed to be carried on or about the person, and contains not more than two ounces of chemical.”

Yup.

BTW, Transfers = 30+ Hour credits, not High school students. But sophomores in college.

okay, well there you go-- transfer is TOTALLY DIFFERENT than freshman. they have completely different requirements. in order for someone to get in as a freshman with a 2.95, they’ve gotta be SUPER special in some other regard… lol!!
