What are my chances at a decent private school?

Male
Junior
AZ
Hispanic
Low-Income
First Gen

GPA-
3.9 UW/4.25 W
Top 15% of Class

PSAT-
166

PLAN-
22

ECs-
Absolutely No Clubs/Sports
Did some community service but very, very little

AP-
Currently Taking 3 (All A’s)
I’ll be taking 5 more next year
I’ve also taken a lot of Honors Classes

I really regret not doing clubs or playing sports and my interests and hobbies are not things that colleges would see as important (reading classics and watching football)

I’ve already accepted the fact that there is no way in hell that I’m even going to sniff Stanford, Cornell, Dartmouth and all those other schools that keep sending me letters. So what type of schools can I get into with my crappy resume? My family will probably not be able to pay anything and I’m worried that Arizona State, Arizona, etc. won’t pay me as much in financial aid as a private school. Think there’s a chance I make it into a good private school that’ll pay off a large portion of my costs if I keep my grades up and score real good on my SAT/ACT?

I really like University of the Pacific and University of Portland as well as any of the UC schools (even if they are public).

Thanks for taking your time to read.

Bump.

Please?

Bump. Again.

It sounds like you have a good chance at getting into a decent private school. Ivy Leagues would probably be a long shot, but they could be your reach schools. If you score in the 30s on your ACT or 2100s+ on your SAT that would give you a lot more options.

Ivy Leagues are reaches for me? I was thinking the schools that I mentioned I liked are my reaches.

Bump.

I just signed up to volunteer during the summer at a hospital. Hope that helps me a little.

High reaches, the GPA is good, as well as the first-gen and minority aspect. That being said you basically had no ECs for your entire high school career (from my understanding) and extremely low test scores.
