what are my chances at a med program?

I’m a senior trying to get into a combined BS/MD program and wonder what my chances are.

Sat I - 1450; 730v, 720m and second time, 750v, 700m.
Sat II Writing - 780
Sat II Chem - 750
Sat II Math IIC - 760
GPA - 3.75

Internship - For the upcoming year, I will be participating in research at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. I will assist in the analysis of biomarkers for cancer.

Classes - I’m taking pretty much the hardest bio classes offered in
my school. I’ve taken so far Bioethics, Medical Microbiology, Cell
Biology, AP Bio, AP Chem, and AP Calc. I have also done research in Biology this year studying Stress Effects on Plants. I have always done very well in all these classes not getting a grade below an A-.

ECs -
CoFounded/Bassist of my band
Member of Superintendent’s Council - meets with the superintendent of schools once a month to discuss ways to improve the school.
Member of NHS
Member of National Latin Honor Society
Treasurer of Church Youth Fellowship
Varsity Spring Track

Volunteer - I’ve been volunteering at a doctor’s office for the past 3 years, working as a secretary, filling in patient forms and other things like that. Also constantly volunteering at other events like church visit to a seniors home, building houses in Habitat for Humanity, etc.

Work Experience - This year, I started working at the same office where I’ve been volunteering.

Would the fact that I’m a year younger than most people in my grade hurt my chances? I mean coming out of this program you’re a year younger than most people who take an 8 year route and so I would be two years younger.

Hey,
You’re EC’s are quite impressive. Just to answer your question about age, (I assume you skipped a grade?), honestly, I don’t think that the admissions people will care/notice. Im also a year younger, but everyone says I act more mature than most people in my grade. I’m sure that everyone on this board is very intelligent, and some are bound to have skipped a grade. As long as you act mature and it shows during your interview and essays, I don’t see how it could be a problem :)
