What are my chances at any Ivy/georgetown/duke

I have a 4.0 for my first semester at Uconn, and will have something close to that for my next semester. I am concerned with my SAT scores though as they were only a 1040. I struggle with standarized testing. I have had a job as a campain liason/ office manager at the state capitol in which I had my own office, I have been a car salesmen, and am working on a congress womans campain this summer. Also I played hockey, golf, and have done a great deal of community service. I was wondering if I have any chance at any Ivy, Georgetown, or Duke. Thanks very much. Jeff

In all honesty, the SAT score will make it very difficult.

Why don’t you retake the SAT?

What SAT with those other credentials should I shoot for?

A 1200+ will put you in the running for Georgetown, 1300+ for Duke/Cornell/Brown, and 1400+ for the other Ivies. You won’t be guaranteed acceptance with those scores by any means, but you will get a serious look at your application.

EDIT: actually, since you you look like you’re going to be a transfer student, SAT scores won’t matter nearly as much. Aim for decent scores, 1350 or so should be good enough for serious consideration of your application at any college.

This is kind of off topic; is it possible to take the SATs as a college student?
