I have a 3.0 unweighted gpa, a 2050 (out of 2400), 1350 (out of 1600) SAT and a 28 cumulative ACT (im taking it again in sept). Ive been working at a dyslexic school for the past two years and I have plenty of volunteer hours. Im dying to go to Boston University…what are my chances of getting in? help please!

Your GPA is a little low for BU. Did you take the most rigourous class load? Do you have any hooks? Did you have to overcome Dyslexia and teach others to do the same? Can you write passionate, engaging essays? A yes to any of these will help your chances, but it looks like BU is a low reach for you with that GPA.

I didnt have to overcome dyslexia, however i have a family memeber who is dylexic which is what motivated me to work here. I go to a very competitive high school in New Jersey.
Ive been in orchestra for 7 years, and choir for 2.

I plan to apply as a Neuroscience major and hopefully my work at the dyslexic school can aid to that. Is there anything you think i can do to improve my chances? Im strongly considering applying Early Decision.
