What are my chances at Penn (or any other Ivy)?

I am currently a sophmore at a Mississippi public high school. Since the 8th grade I’ve had the highest average in every class I’ve taken, and I should be valedictorian (fairly small graduating class, though). I take the most advanced classes my school offers, but no APs or honors classes are offered.

ECs: 9th grade class treasurer
This year class president
Academic team
Beta Club vice president (will be running for president next year)
Placed in top 1% at state math/science competition in biology (i plan on majoring in biology if that helps)
Cross-country team, this year we competed in state championships.
Will volunteer alot, probably at a local hospital.

I was chosen to go to a student leadership summit on medicine/healthcare this summer at Johns Hopkins University. Next summer I’ll probably be going to summer college at Penn or another ivy. If I do well will this improve my chances? Also, do you think there is any way to get a professor to write a letter of recommendation?

Overall do you think I have a chance of getting into an Ivy???

assuming I do well on standardized tests

Definitely have a great shot. Start practicing for the tests now. Stay involved.

Honestly, with Ivy League, it’s a coinflip either way. I’m hopin for a miracle myse

*myself 10char

thanks. taking ACT tomorrow
