<p>Volunteering- Tutoring at homeless shelter for one year, city youth service coalition, key club activities.</p>
<p>Verbal score will probably take her out of contention. I’m assuming GPA is weighted? What is unweighted GPA? OOS admission into UNC is very competitive.</p>
<p>Agree with apmom. My neighbor’s D has basicaly the same SAT with higher gpa, lots of good ec’s and is in-state and she got deferred by UNC-CH last month.</p>
<p>Don’t waste your application fee. UNC chooses high SAT scores rather than achievement because they need the scores to prop up their US News rankings. You won’t do better at UVA -even though they are not nearly as scores driven. Sorry.</p>
