I have above three intended schools, and I know CS is very difficult, so I choosed some CS replacement majors, could you please suggest me chances to apply these university, or do you have more suitable schools?
thanks!
DS admit rate for UC Irvine was 28%, CE was 28, EE was 36% and CSE was 24% with an overall campus Capped weighted UC GPA admit range of 4.04-4.27.
UCI Informatics admit rate was 31%. New students are not admitted directly to the Information and Computer Science major.
DS admit rate for UC Davis (selective major) was estimated at <20% along with CE while EE is estimated at 30-40% with an overall campus Capped weighted GPA of 4.00-4.26.
UCD does not offer Informatics or Information system majors.
CS and CE are direct admit in uDub with acceptance rate 2% for OOS. A reach for anyone. The rest of engineering majors are direct admit to ENG college with acceptance rate 43% for OOS. I would say a target for you.
FYI, S24 got accepted to uDub Engineer college with $4.5K merit/yr offer, with UW 4.0 and W 4.21 GPA, 2 AP and 2 Honors.
thanks for your advice.
I calculated UC GPA, unweighted GPA is 4.0, weighted GPA is 4.1, I know tofel 99 is not the enough for CS MAJOR in UW, so I want to apply data science & stats/information system/ECE/infomatic,could you please suggest which major has higher chance for me?
thanks for your help
UC Davis admit rate for Data Science is below 20% and it is a selective major, Stats major was around 36%, Computer Engineering <20% admit rate, Electrical engineering <40%. UCD has no IS major or Informatics.
UC Irvine admit rate for Data Science was 28%, Computer engineering 28%, Computer Science and Engineering 24%, Business Information Management 18% and Informatics at 31%. No stats major only a minor.
