My gpa is 3.3, likely to go up to a 3.4 or 3.5.

What are my chances for an Ivy-League type school?

UNC-CH takes a maximum of 18% OOS students- including recruited athletes.

Only 4% of admitted students at UPenn have a GPA under 3.5.

But those are factoids: are you solidly in the top group in your class? will your GC say that you have taken the “most rigorous” classes possible? will the people who write you LoRs say that you are a truly exceptional student? you’ll want a lot of ‘yes’ answers to those questions.

From the looks of it, pretty low chances

I did not take the most rigorous classes I could.
Teachers will probably say i’m a hard-working student.

Unless you have a major hook, a 3.3 GPA will not result in admissions at either Cornell or Penn. Or any Top-20 in general.

As a Columbia student who knows the process well, I can say that your chances are 0%. Sorry but this is the truth. Your GPA is just tooooo low.
