I am about to be a Senior at Detroit Country Day School which is one of the toughest schools in Michigan and also a very distinguished High School in the country. I transferred to DCD my Junior Year and it has been a real challenge. I have a 3.42 cumulative GPA with a 25 on the ACT, but I plan to take it again. I have taken Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra 2, Honors Chemistry, IB Anatomy and Physiology, and am planning to take AP/IB/H Psychology and IB Human Genetics my Senior year. I have about 50 community service hours and plan to complete 20 more. My area for concern is this: I received a D in my Pre-Calculus class this year and am worried that this might get me differed. What do you recommend me to do to not have this affect me for early admission into Michigan State? Thanks for reading.
I also am on the Varsity Baseball team and will be a captain my Senior Year. I also plan to participate in the Science Fair this year.
I am in the same exact boat as you my friend… I also received a D, except in Spanish 3. I don’t live too far from you either lol, I go to west bloomfield high school. President of two clubs too, other good extracurriculars, also worried I won’t make it into michigan state… Did you apply yet?
