I got a 2140 on the SAT, 760 writing, 700 math and 680 reading. Im taking 4 ap currently with ap chem, ap bio, apush and ap lang and comp. and i took the ap world history test that i got a 4 on. I also am taking pre calc honors and french 4. I got an A in all courses except for pre calc i got a B in. I have a 3.98 unweighted and have done research summer camps. Im also on board on a lot clubs at school and started a science club at my school this year. What are my chances of getting into top private colleges because my sat score is pretty low. Should i take the new one because i got national merit semifinalist on the new psat?
It would be helpful if you would list specific colleges, but I’ll assume top 20-ish. If that’s the case, your SAT score is a bit low, although it doesn’t completely take you out of the running. Of course, quite a few “top” colleges are outside of the top 20, and your application would be quite strong to many of them.
Have you tried the ACT? It works better for some people.
