Teen Impact Fund** Augest<em>2008 - March 2009</em>**************
A yearlong philanthropic program which allows a select group of high school students the power and edifications to wisely distribute a grant of $10,000 dollars to non-profit organizations in Charlotte after months of intense research site visits, and workshops concerning the process of grant making. Through my involvement in TIF, through research, and deliberation I was able to aid abused children, teenage mothers, disabled children, and hopefully bring comfort to those in need.</p>
<p>Second Harvest Food Bank
The Second Harvest Food Bank strives through education, advocacy, and partnerships to eliminate hunger by the solicitation and distribution of food. When I was able to volunteer here I stacked and organized food and items for the Bank.</p>
<p>Crisis Assistant Ministry
Crisis Assistance Ministry serves the low-income citizens of Mecklenburg County, often classified as “the working poor,” who are facing financial emergencies and are struggling to meet life’s basic needs. The needs I saw first hand when I volunteered there. I was sent to help people in need find clothing and items for everyday use like shoes, clothing and food.</p>
<p>Crop Walk
The Crop Walk is held every year in Charlotte North Carolina. It helps raise money for people in foreign third world nations, who do not have the same privileges that we take for granted every day. People who attend this event must raise up to 60$ and walk 3 to 5 miles.</p>
<p>Diversity Kick Off Weekend
The Diversity Kick Off Weekend was a 3 day experience for gifted students interested in the diversity and social structure of their high schools. This experience taught the students how to take initiatives in their high schools, to spread awareness of their fellow peers and surroundings.</p>

<p>Junior Executive Board (National Honor Society)
This board is the future senior executive board of National Honor Society. The people on this board were voted by their peers which are in the National Honor Society.</p>
<p>Senior Advisor (Environmental Club)
I was voted as the senior advisor of the environmental club. My job was the assist the president about upcoming activates that the club may participate in.</p>
<p>Executive Board (Multi Cultural Club)
On the board of Multi Cultural Club we plan and execute future plans for the club. We also figure out ways to raise school wide awareness of different diversities within the school whether it be color or gender, we find ways to make all people aware </p>
<p>Community and Service Board (National Honor Society)
The community and service was is hand chosen by the president of the National Honor society. The board is in charge or planning and arranging community and service projects for the entire group to attend.</p>
