Ok so I’m currently in community college (second year) and my transcript isn’t that GREAT in terms of grades which i know are the most important factor in admissions to Universities. So here’s the breakdown: on my transcript, I have 1 A, 5 B’s, 5 C’s, 1 (Withdrawal), and 2 D’s.

The thing Im most worried about is the two D’s (obviously) but I retook one of the classes and got a B in it, and I plan on retaking the other and striving to make an A. I still have 6 classes to complete in order to get my AA (Associates of Arts), so hypothetically, if I make all A’s in those classes. What are my chances? My gpa right now is 2.4, so I will have time to bring it up some…I probably sound like a dreamer right now, but honestly I am trying my best to keep the grades up and I’m also working part time not that it matters.

The thing that will probably help me stand out a bit in my applications is that I’ve studied abroad in Great Britain and Italy. I’ve managed to obtain an internship throughout the summer of 2011, I’ve volunteered at my local shelter for over a year now, I recycle, I started a club in high school, so there’s my leadership skills there…I can speak three languages: Vietnamese, English, and Spanish.

Please give me the honest truth…I’d rather hear it now than be dissapointed later. I live in TX btw.
