The closer I get to my graduation, the further my goal seems to reach. I have been taking on too much lately and have seen my grades drop, but according to everyone else I seem to have decent grade. So I want you to tell me the truth, what are my chances of getting into Georgetown or NYU?
-ACT score 27 (Planning to take it again)
-GPA UW 3.7 W 3.9 (At risk)
AP Classes taken so far: AP World History, AP US History AP Psychology, AP English, AP Biology.
Current schedule: AP Literature, AP Calculus BC, AP Government, AP Physics, German, Art, Economics.
The lowest grade on my Transcript is 9th grade math which was a B-(other classes were As). My sophomore year, I had straight As except for Astronomy and AP Biology which were both B+. My junior year is when things started getting worse. The majority of my classes were B pluses and Bs except for Honors pre Calculus and AP US History which were A minuses. And things don’t seem like they are getting any better my senior year. I have a B average so far. As far as extracurricular activities go, I was in the math team for a year, cross country and Badminton. What are my chances!!!
Georgetown requires 3 SAT II tests. Ridiculous in my opinion.
You need to get that ACT up to at least 32 to be competitive for Georgetown. NYU probably need at least a 30 or 31. Both should be considered reaches right now.
