What are my chances into getting into USC or NYU? (or any Ivies/UCs? lol)

Hi! I currently have a 3.94 unweighted GPA and my first SAT score was a 1980–which I’m planning on retaking next month for a score that hopefully breaks the 2100 barrier.

Also, my extracurriculars are pretty strong. I did a computer-science internship with a really big company over last summer, I’ve been in leadership at my school for three years (currently Senior President), NHS for three years, Science Olympiad for two years, speech & debate for four years (currently Vice President), church youth group leader, suicide prevention group, youth legislative council, a math tutor, piano for 10 years, chapter founder for child exploitation awareness, member of Women in Aviation Organization, and more that I may list later–etc.
For the most part, my extracurriculars are super strong.

My schools doesn’t offer that many APs, but I took 3 last year and am currently taking 5 this year.

I’m a pacific islander.

And I’m also nervous about college.

Do I have a chance?

USC: High Match if you can get your SAT in the 2100 range.
UCB/UCLA: Reach
UCSD: Low Reach
UCD/UCI/UCSB: High Match
UCSC: Match
UCR: Low Match

If you are planning to pursue CS, you need to increase your SAT score to be competitive for the majority of the UC’s. Your unweighted GPA looks competitive, but you should calculate your UC GPA: http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Ivies are Reaches for all applicants and again you need to increase your test scores.

As to the Ivies, unless that is a 2100, that is actually closer to 2200, it will be very difficult.
