What are my chances of getting a summer research internship?

What are my chances of getting a summer research internship? Which do you think I will get, which do you think I will not, and please speak out of experience.

Most of these favor minority students, community college students, and those with no prior research experience.

Jimminy crickets, what does one have to do to get one of these? You not only have the grades, but you have the demographics. I hope your pending apps pan out for you. Good luck and keep us posted!

Very peculiar, I got contacted by University of Arizona, another school who’s application I did not finish.

I think that you should have had LORs from Professors that know you well in the areas of the internships or any related areas (basically STEM). I noticed that you left out most of the Northeast in your applications. I think that you would have had a shot at UMass’ REU. You could have tried some companies like Novartis in Cambridge, MA.

Congrats on the acceptances though - internships seem to be very, very hard to come by this year.

I got rejected from UCSB’s inset. I’m pretty sure Princeton isn’t even going to reply. I got a personal email from UCSB, they said they liked me but I simply needed more Science and Engineering Classes.
and thanks for the tip at for University of Mass. And I honestly didn’t know much about Good Chemical Engineering schools outside of California and some I had found out after the deadline.
