Actually OOS applicants are required to have a higher GPA and Eligibility index to even apply to a Cal State. First calculate your CSU GPA using the following link. As an OOS applicant, only AP/IB classes qualify for the extra honors points and only use 10-11th grades for the required a-g courses.
https://secure.csumentor.edu/planning/high_school/gpa_calculator.asp
Then using this formula calculate your Eligibility index:
(CSU GPA x200) + (ACT composite x10)
If you have an EI is around 950+, you are in good shape. Are you able to afford SDSU? As an OOS applicant, you are looking at around $32K/year with little to no financil aid.
Sorry for the misspelled words. Using phone. Any chance of being a recruited athlete? This would definitely help you.
I was thinking about it, i got offers from colleges in the east but i wanted to go to california and cali schools dont usually look to the east coast
