You seem like a strong applicant. Make your essays shine!

If you could retake your ACT and try to score even 1-2 points higher, it would make you an even better candidate! Any plans to do so?

I think as long as you could get ACT up a couple points then you would have a really good shot of getting into UVA> If you could chance me back that would be great. Thanks.

Speaking as an incoming first year, I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in. That being said I would definitely try to get your ACT up one or two points while you have the time to and make yourself stand out with your essays. Your essays are a way for the admission deans to see your personality, so use your essays to shine and stand out. Also, remember most kids applying to UVA are just as well qualified as you, otherwise they wouldn’t be applying, so don’t beat yourself up if you apply early action and get deferred or apply regular decision and get wait listed. If you’re very interested in attending UVA, check out Dean J’s blog for updates and all kinds of advice on admissions. Good luck, and Wahoowa, maybe I’ll see you on grounds next year!
